How PIX QR / copia e cola works

A static PIX BR Code encodes your key, merchant name, city, and optional amount. Banks scan the QR or paste the “copia e cola” string to start a transfer.

What is “copia e cola”?

It is the EMV text payload behind the QR. Banking apps let you paste that string when you cannot scan a QR image.

Can I leave the amount empty?

Yes. Without an amount, the payer types the value in their bank app, useful for tips or variable charges.

Is this a dynamic PIX charge?

No. This builds a static QR from your key. Dynamic charges (with location URLs and expiration) need your PSP/bank API.
