How to find dead or stuck pixels
A dead pixel stays black; a stuck pixel stays lit in one color. Solid full-screen colors make defects easier to spot than busy desktop wallpapers.
What should I look for?
Scan the whole panel slowly. On black, bright dots stand out; on white or primary colors, dark or wrong-color dots stand out.
Can software fix a dead pixel?
Usually not. Stuck pixels sometimes recover after pixel-massaging tools or power cycles; permanently dead subpixels generally need panel service or replacement.
Does this test work on phones and laptops?
Yes. Use fullscreen when the browser allows it, and rotate the device if that helps you inspect edges.
