How to test a keyboard in the browser
This tool listens for keyboard events on your device. It helps spot keys that do not register, stick, or fire twice — something a chat AI cannot verify on your hardware.
Why doesn’t every key match my layout?
Pick the closest layout in the dropdown (QWERTZ, AZERTY, ABNT2, and more). Detection uses physical key codes, so the highlight still works even when printed legends differ.
Some laptop keys do nothing here
Firmware keys (brightness, volume) may not send standard browser events. Test letter, number, modifiers, and arrows first; then check media keys in the OS.
Is key logging stored or sent?
No. Presses are handled only in your browser session and clear when you reset or leave the page.
